2021 will come to an end before you know it, but when it comes to auto accidents in Shreveport and Bossier City, the year-end numbers will likely look much like those from 2020.

For those involved in an accident, there's no solace in the plateau.  However, we can get a little comfort that in the "States With the Most Auto Accidents" status, Louisiana is not number one. In fact, we're not even in the top ten.  But driving in the Bayou State is anything but "safe."

So far in 2021, policygenius.com reports Louisiana has had 681 fatal auto accidents resulting in 727 deaths.

In 2020, redmannlaw.com wrote that Caddo Parish had the third highest number of injury auto accidents in the entire state.

What Do All These Numbers Mean?

Dissecting all the numbers tell us that even though things aren't as bad here in North Louisiana as they area in other areas, we certainly have our share of auto accidents in these parts.

With that in mind, there are certain intersections throughout Shreveport and Bossier City that are a lot more prone to accidents than others.  These are the ones that we should all approach with a lot more caution and make sure we're completely alert as we pass through.

The findings indicate that regardless of what Bossier City drivers might think, Airline Drive is NOT more dangerous than Youree Drive.  In fact, Youree Drive has the two most dangerous intersections and a total of four of the top ten most dangerous intersections in all of the twin city area, making it the most dangerous road in our area.

Just take a look and see for yourself what the numbers looked like for 2020.
