Shreveport Fighter Headed to the UFC
In the world of MMA, making it to the UFC is a huge deal. It's the biggest and most watched promotion in the world and features some of the most talented athletes on the planet. Just making it onto a show is a huge accomplishment. But, for one local fighter, she may not just be debuting in UFC but on the main card of a PPV.
Andrea 'KGB' Lee, who lives and trains in Shreveport/Bossier, has announced on Facebook that she is scheduled to take on Kalindra Faria at UFC 216 on October 7th. And, even more than just making it to the biggest promotion in the world, there is a rumor that she won't be fighting on the Under or Free for TV card, she'll be fighting on the main PPV card.
Lee (8-2) is considered one of the best independent female fighters in the world and now she will finally have a chance to show off her skills on a worldwide platform. Although, this isn't Lee's first time in the spotlight, she's been a Louisiana Gold Gloves Champion and a champion for Legacy Fighting Alliance (which airs on AXS TV).
We wish Andrea the best of luck and we know she'll do all of her fans and all of us in Shreveport/Bossier proud.
