Two more homicides on the list for Shreveport in 2023. In January, Terrance Malik Dangerfield, 25, was arrested and charged after crashing his vehicle in a high-speed chase with Shreveport Police.

Dangerfield was fleeing from police after he failed to yield for a traffic stop. Dangerfield led officers on a chase at high-speeds, before ultimately crashing his vehicle in to the victims.

After the accident, the occupants of the vehicle Dangerfield crashed in to tragically died. Faith Alexander, 31, and her daughter, Amelia R. Ellis, 4 were both killed in the high-speed accident. In the first February 15 indictment, Dangerfield, was charged with two counts of manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and illegal carrying of a weapon with a controlled dangerous substance.

Dangerfield was indicted in Caddo District Court, and will remain behind bars until his trial.
