Shreveport Michigan Blvd Homicide Suspect Arrested
Shreveport Police Violent Crime investigators have arrested a 15-year-old male suspected of the February 23rd, 2023, murder on Michigan Boulevard.
On February 23rd, 2023, officers were called to a shooting in the 3600 block of Michigan Boulevard. As officers arrived, they discovered a 19-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local area hospital by The Shreveport Fire Department and later pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit were called to the scene and a homicide investigation ensued. With the assistance of the Shreveport Police Crime Scene Unit, Detectives were able to determine that the suspect was a juvenile.
Detectives were able to obtain an order to take the juvenile into custody for the murder. On March 1, 2023, the juvenile was arrested and booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center for one count of 2nd degree murder.
Due to the age of the offender, no photograph can be released.
