We're now officially into Phase Three in Louisiana and we have a full slate of hockey games this weekend. Life is good.

There's no doubt about it, the last few weeks have been rough for us here in Shreveport-Bossier. We endured a horrific winter storm a few weeks ago, then another batch of nasty thunderstorms just a few days later. On top of that, we're still in the middle of the pandemic.

However, things finally took a turn for the better this week for us in Shreveport-Bossier. Not only have we been gifted some of the prettiest weather I've ever seen over the last few days, but Louisiana has also officially moved into Phase Three as of today, March 3rd.

Now, we get a chance to celebrate this weekend with our beloved Shreveport Mudbugs.

After their most recent home-stretch was cancelled due to winter weather, the 'Bugs return for the first time in nearly a month to George's Pond. This weekend won't be the tradition two-game home-stretch, because we've also been gifted a rare Sunday home game as well.

Also, with Phase Three comes lifted restrictions, which will allow the Mudbugs to open their doors at George's Pond to a significantly larger attendance. This season, they had been limiting capacity to 1,550 fans per game. More people and more fun simply makes for a greater environment, and no environment in the NAHL can rival a rocking George's Pond.

The Mudbugs will take on Wichita Falls Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon. The games on Friday and Saturday will drop the puck at 7:11 PM, while Sunday's afternoon will get started at 2:11 PM.
