Shreveport Police on the Hunt for Suspected Murderer
On February 16, 2022, just after 12:30 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to a shooting at a home, in the 5200 block of Mansfield Road. Officers located a man with at least one gunshot injury to the head. The Shreveport Fire Department transported the man to a local hospital where he later died.
Detectives with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded and launched their investigations. They were able to identify Archille Holmes Jr. (2-6-1995) as the person they believe responsible for the homicide. Detectives believe that a dispute between the victim and a group of people precipitated the murder. Detectives procured a warrant charging Holmes with one count of Second-Degree Murder. No bond was set.
