Has Shreveport gotten so dangerous that simply driving down one of the city's roads get a person shot?

The answer, sad, but true, is yes. It just happened yesterday for sixty one year old man.

According to a report from KTBS, yesterday, Sunday, September 25, the victim was traveling east on I-20 near the Monkhouse Drive exit when he says he heard a gunshot.

The victim stated that the driver's side wind shield of his vehicle was shattered and he discovered that he too had been hit in the right forearm and left hand.

The victim was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport for treatment of his wounds which were considered non life-threatening.

Shreveport Police stopped all traffic in the area for a period while they investigated the scene.  Though that area of I-20 has been reopened the Shreveport Police continue their investigation into the matter.
