A new study has ranked out the Least Educated metro ares in the United States, and the Shreveport and Bossier City area did not perform well.

The new research from WalletHub, a personal finance website, shows that the Shreveport-Bossier metro landed as one of the 25 Least Educated metro areas in the country.

For their research, they looked at multiple metrics, including Quality of Public School System, Racial Education Gap, Share of Adults Aged 25 Years & Older with a High School Diploma or Higher, Education Equality Index Score, and more.

4 - Bakersfield, CA
5 - Modesto, CA
6 - Salinas, CA
7 - Stockton-Lodi, CA
8 - Hickory-Lenoir-Morgantown, NC
9 - Ocala, FL
10 - Fresno, CA
11 - Beaumont-Port Arthur, TX
12 - Corpus Christi, TX
13 - Lakeland-Winter Haven, FL
14 - Riversdie-San Bernadino-Ontario, CA
15 - El Paso, TX
16 - Lafayette, LA
17 - Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH
18 - Younstown-Warren-Boardman, OH-PA

One of the metrics that Shreveport-Bossier did not perform well in was their index of Median Household Income and Overall Education Ranking, where Shreveport performed as on of the three worst:
