One countdown has ended and another has begun for Louisianans who've gotten their COVID vaccinations and are hoping to be the lucky winner of the state's recently announced million dollar prize.

Countdown number one, the countdown to open registration has passed. And now the Governor's clock is ticking away until a number of jackpots, cash and otherwise, will be awarded.

And if you're one of more than three million folks across the state who have received at least one dose of COVID vaccine, now all you have to do is register.

If you've already gotten at least one jab of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or the single shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine then you can register for weekly drawings of $100,000 or the Grand Prize which is $1,000,000.00. These prizes are for any Louisiana resident aged 18 or older.

And if you're 12 to 17 and have had at least one dose of vaccine you can register to win one of nine $100,000 scholarships.

But, state officials remind us, you only have to register once to be eligible for all the drawings. Here are the giveaway dates and individual deadlines for each.

  • Enter by July 9, 2021 by 11:59 p.m. CDT for the July 14 drawing
