SPD Investigating Human Remains Discovered In Neighborhood

Shreveport Police are on the scene in Shreveport's Anderson Island neighborhood after suspected human remains were discovered.

Keel News has learned that a lawn crew found what appears to be a human skull, which triggered the investigation. Authorities have been on-site since the discovery looking for other remains. The Caddo Coroner's Office has been assisting the Shreveport Police Department with the investigation.

The scene is located near C E Galloway Blvd, near East Washington, near the Montessori School For Shreveport. Police have been working the scene since Tuesday evening, and plan to continue to work the scene as the investigation continues.

There has been no information given on the condition of the remains, or possible age of the victim.
