Storms Move Out of Shreveport Bossier

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for the Shreveport Bossier metro have expired.
Our area remains under a Tornado Watch until 1pm.

Bossier
Caddo
Claiborne
DeSoto
Natchitoches
Red River
Sabine
Webster

This watch also includes a large part of north central Louisiana, a part of southern Arkansas, and a small part of northeast Texas.

UPDATE 9:45AM:
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is now in effect for DeSoto and Sabine Parishes in Louisiana, Panola, Rusk, Nacogdoches, Shelby, and San Augustine Counties in northeast Texas. This warning is in effect until 10:30 this morning.
This storm will impact the following communities:
Center, Logansport, Tenaha, Timpson, Garrison, Joaquin, Shelbyville, Martinsville, Huxley, Keachi, Longstreet, Stanley, James, Jericho, Stockman, Arcadia, Woods and Paxton.

Original Story

A new Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for a part of northeast Texas. This warning is in effect until 8:45 this morning. This warning includes southeast Smith County, southwest Panola County, Rusk County, northwestern Nacogdoches County and Cherokee County.

These storms are moving from the town of Troup to near Jacksonville to 8 miles south of Maydelle. This system is moving east at 30MPH.

UPDATE: Tornado Warning for Bowie, Titus, Morris, Red River and Cass Counties has expired.

Strong storms are beginning to move into the Shreveport Bossier City area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for portions of northwest Louisiana, northeast Texas, southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas through 10:00AM.

The National Weather Service says large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two will be possible from a band of strong-severe storms that will move through the area this morning. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for the following counties in Northeast Texas:

Franklin, Bowie, Morris, Titus, Camp and Red River. This warning is in effect until 7:45AM. Hail damage to vehicles is possible.
