Shreveport Police are asking for the assistance of the community in locating a man wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred in February 2022. A warrant for Detrevious D. Thompson (05/16/2002) was issued in February, however Thompson has not been arrested. He is believed to still be in the Shreveport Area.

On February 22nd, 2022, at 10:30 p.m., Shreveport Police Department Patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of Grimmett Drive on reports of two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and through interviews with witnesses and examination of evidence, they identified the suspected shooter as Detrevious D. Thompson. An arrest warrant was obtained for Thompson charging him with Illegal use of a firearm, felon with a firearm, and aggravated battery.
