Authorities are investigating a Louisiana animal hospital after dogs were found in heartbreaking conditions.

The Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center was called to an intense dog hoarding situation on Tuesday. They shared heartbreaking photos of dozens of golden doodles, Shih Tzus, and other highly sought-after 'designer dogs' living in filth and confined to small cages.

Louisiana is know for excellent hunting and fishing. When Brett Delcambre first started Southern Drone Recovery it's primary goal was to help hunters locate their deer using drones. These are not any ordinary drones, they use thermal technology to determine the location of the deer. Now using that same method and technology he has shifted some of his focus to helping Louisiana families find their lost pets because "our pets are like family" Delcambre said in a interview with WAFB.

In a distressing incident that unfolded last Saturday, the New Iberia Police were summoned to a residence on Fontelieu Street's 500 block. Upon arrival, officers were confronted with a harrowing sight as they interviewed the resident, more than 50 cats and kittens were living in squalid and unsanitary conditions.

She is a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix and weighs 4.8 pounds.

He's a Pomeranian/Sheltie mix and is probably 2-3 years old he came in weighing at 18.2 pounds so he’s a big boy by Ninna's Road to Rescue standards.
