Research has shown the odds are a lot better for Louisiana boys than those of any other state to become professional athletes.

Who would you say is the greatest athlete ever from our area? And that includes all the smaller towns like Blanchard, Benton, Stonewall and others.

I would love to see what Las Vegas odds-makers would have set the odds in Louisiana that it wouldn't be a high school football player to be the first to cash in

I was just reading a report in the Shreveport Times that gave me pause.  The article starts off by saying, "It's not often the top athlete in any sport makes a stop in Northwest Louisiana..."  That by itself is a true statement.  But put it in context with the "athlete" it's referring to and it loses some of its veracity for me...
