We’ve just over a month until the second season of Marvel’s Netflix Daredevil arrives to Punish us all, and ahead of a full trailer, Matt Murdock has a Chinese New Year surprise. The time has come to settle all debts, courtesy of a brand new teaser for Daredevil Season 2 on Netflix.

Ideas were flying fast and furious at Marvel at the start of 1964. Lee and Kirby had introduced The Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants in X-Men #4, unleashed the first proper Hulk Vs. Thing battle in Fantastic Four #25, and revived Golden-Age icon Captain America in Avengers #4, while Lee and artist Don Heck had given readers Black Widow's first appearance in Tales Of Suspense #52. So when the first issue of a new title went on sale on February 4th, it seemed like the next logical step in the Marvel's expansion. The company had been running house ads trumpeting the book for a couple months, and the cover loudly declared itself to be in their best tradition of greatness and innovation. But the truth is that Daredevil's genesis was difficult, and #1 was arriving a full six months after it was originally slated.

The first season of Marvel’s Daredevil separated itself from dim shades of Batman Begins or Arrow with some of the most practical, extended fight choreography ever put to screen, and Season 2 will be no different. Following the legendary hallway fight, Charlie Cox says Season 2 has at least one epic fight that’s “almost like that scene on crack.”

Many a Marvel fan are on pins and needles until the Season 2 premiere of Netflix’s Daredevil, though we’ve always had to wonder if Marvel’s movie and TV branches would bridge the gulf in time for Avengers: Infinity War. Even Charlie Cox doesn’t think himself safe from Marvel recasting Daredevil for the movies, but nobody panic just yet.

Netflix and Marvel delivered one hell of a perfect story with Jessica Jones’ debut season, exploring trauma, consent, rape culture and empowerment via a narrative in which Krysten Ritter’s eponymous hero faces her past demons in the form of David Tennant’s sleazy super-villain Kilgrave. As many fans have pointed out, Season 1 is such a contained, perfect story that many felt they’d be satisfied if Netflix didn’t renew the series. But with the company officially announcing Season 2, we can’t help but wonder where that might take our hero next. We have a few ideas.

Season 2 is going to be badass!

Ok, so last night I finished Daredevil Season One. After the last frame, the only thing I could think was WOW! In all honesty, it may be the best entry yet into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was dark, it was gritty, it was everything I could have hoped for in the series.
