Lifelong rocker and at one time, Program Director for 99X, Flynt Stone has been battling cancer which has now progressed to Stage IV where it has metastasized to his bones.  We would like to extend our support to Flynt and his family during his time of need.

Jam for Cam is a fundraiser at the Krewe of Centaur den this Friday, September 16th  for a 12 year old local boy, Cameron Varnell, whose leukemia has returned for the third time.

Since Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994 and Nirvana‘s inevitable breakup, Dave Grohl has stayed in the limelight and has flourished as the leader and frontman of Foo Fighters. Krist Novoselic, meanwhile, has put music on the back burner for the better part of the last 17 years. Angi Ring used to work here at 99X. She's a part of our radio family and she's a truly kind and special person. She worked for the radio stations for several years, then followed her career to Dallas, where recently, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She will have to be at MD Anderson in Houston for her bone marrow transplant. It's going to be a tough battle, but Angi is strong. Please help us to r
