If there's one thing we love here in town, it's some quality high school football.

On Thursday night, Vincent Stover, an autistic player on the Mountain Ridge High School football team near Phoenix, entered the game against late against North Canyon. On his first play, he was tackled pretty hard an excessively by an opposing player. That's all it took for retaliation to happen and both benches to clear.

This Friday, October 3, fans will gather for a special home game at Haughton High stadium to see match-up between Haughton High School and St. Mary Natchitoches football teams. This year’s American Heart Association "Red Out" game will honor Coach Rodney Guin.

The kids will all be heading back to school in the next few days, but football players, cheerleaders and the bands have all been hard at it for the last couple of weeks.  Everyone has the same vision.  Make it to the Dome for the 2014 High School Football Championships!
