Texas Twang is the Sexiest Accent in the Country

As I have suspected all along, the Texas Twang has finally been officially named the "Sexiest Accent in the Known Universe."  OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration - but the native tongue of Texans was voted "Sexiest Accent in the U.S." by Big 7 Travel.  Texan is obviously the ultimate version of the classic Southern drawl, but still so unique it is hardly ever mistaken.

Strangely enough, not many dialects from the south made the top 10 sexiest accents.  Mississippi showed up at #5, but was beat out by the Bostonian and New York accents.  Cajun (#15) was one of 2 entries on the list from Louisiana, New Orleans took the middle spot after being ranked #25.  At the bottom of the list?  New Jersey and Long Island.

I'm not sure that I agree with all of the selections, for instance - there are 3 different entries for California.  But, since they got Texas' spot - It's obviously correct.  Check out the entire list here.
