Three Arrested in Shreveport After Manhunt
Three men were arrested Tuesday (10/19/21) after fleeing the scene of a search warrant.
Just before 5 p.m. Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics agents executed a search warrant on the 1700 block of Looney Street where they found drugs and guns. After clearing the home, agents noticed the back door was open. That’s when they discovered a man, later identified as 47-year-old Marcus Clark, hiding outside the house.
Agents asked him to surrender, but instead he fled the scene on foot. After a short chase, Clark was arrested and two other men came out of hiding. The two suspects, later identified as 28-year-old Jeremy Jones and 21-year-old Eric Jenkins, were asked to surrender when they were found, but instead Jenkins pulled out a gun and aimed at an SPD officer. A CPSO narcotics agent then fired one round at Jenkins, but Jenkins was not hit and was able to run away.
Jones was arrested while the CPSO special response team, K9s, and drone unit along with SPD officers combed through the area in search of Jenkins. At around 7:30 p.m., a K9 deputy found Jenkins hiding under a house on West Gary Street. Jenkins surrendered. Clark was taken to an area hospital after complaining of breathing issues while Jenkins and Jones were taken in for questioning.
All three suspects will be booked into Caddo Correctional Center. Jenkins will be charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer with a firearm, possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (crack cocaine), possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and flight from an officer.
Clark will be charged with two counts of possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (methamphetamine and crack cocaine), possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and felon in possession of a firearm. Jones will be charged with possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (crack cocaine), and flight from an officer.
