Since we live in Louisiana, seafood is part of our regular diet. It's probably one of the biggest tourist attractions in our state....our great food.

I've put together my list of the top 10 seafood restaurants in Shreveport-Bossier. Some are more casual than others, but they all have some really great seafood dishes.

1. Copelands of New Orleans

I love the eggplant pirogue. It's eggplant topped with an augratin sauce loaded with shrimp and crab claws. The blackened chicken is also quite delicious.

2. Ralph & Kacoo's

My favorite dish at R&K is the Atchafalaya which is grilled fish topped with crawfish etoufee. It's delightful.

3. Ernests

You can't beat the crab claws at Ernests. It's a must as an appetizer. For your main course, you have to try the Snapper Ernest. It's a filet of Red Snapper, broiled with lump crab meat, butter and white wine.

4. Anthony's Steak & Seafood

One of my favorite seafood dishes is soft shell crab and Anthony's has the best in town.

5. Herby K's

Legendary local restaurant. The Shrimp Buster is hard to get past. But if you can, try the gumbo/etoufee sampler. It's spectacular.

6. Marilyn's Place

I have two favorites at Marilyns. The crawfish etoufee is awesome, but I'm also a fan of the shrimp creole.

7. Brother's Seafood

The tradition continues with great daily specials, but if you want a great deal, check out the seafood platter for about 20 bucks! It includes 2 kinds of shrimp, catfish and oysters.,

8. 2 John's Steak and Seafood

Shrimp and crawfish pasta. It's a cajun cream sauce with crawfish tails and shrimp served over pasta. Great dish.

9. Kim's Seafood

This is the place to go for boiled crawfish, but don't forget to start with the crawfish eggroll.

10. Shane's

Shanes is on the list for a great fried shrimp po-boy. It's loaded with shrimp and will easily satisfy your appetite.
