The Alabama Crimson Tide is very used to playing against teams from the state of Louisiana. You could argue that Bama and LSU are one of the biggest rivalries in college football. But the Tide aren't limited to just playing LSU. Here's the news from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"UL Lafayette announced today that they’ll play Alabama in football in 2018. The game will take place on September 29th at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa that year."

This isn't the first time the two teams will meet up, but it will be the first time since 1990. The two schools have played 8 games in their history, and Alabama is 8-0 against ULL. The closest of their meetings was the 1989 game, where the final score was 24-17 in Bama's favor.

The most recent game between these two teams (1990) was actually the only match-up in the series played in Lafayette.
