It appears that Velvet Revolver might have found their “new” frontman: Scott Weiland. The Stone Temple Pilots singer talked about the supergroup, and his current relationship with his former bandmates, in an interview with Classic Rock magazine....the question is can he stay clean long enough to stay a member of the band??

STP was in town less than a year ago at the Horseshoe Riverdome for the second date on the tour...Less than a month later he was on stage and forgot the words to his own songs and his band members walked off stage pretty angry.

“We patched things up and we get along. I see them every now and again, we text each other,” Weiland said. “And you know, we can never say never. Who knows, maybe we’ll do some shows some time.”

The singer said he looks back fondly on his tenure with Slash and the boys.

“That was a magical thing, too. That was right when I was getting off dope and those guys were all sober and clean, and I had a very special kind of kinship because we’d all experienced the same things,” he said. “It felt like us against the world: ‘We’re gonna play just pure rock ’n’ roll.’ And I think we did a really good job of it. It was a great band to see live, and I think we made two exciting albums.”
