Webster Parish Teen Arrested With Drugs, Guns, and Bomb Materials
What began as an execution of a search warrant looking for stolen property, took a scary turn.
On Tuesday (4/18/23) at around 11am, Webster Parish Sheriff's Deputies executed a warrant ordered for a home on Brackin Street in Minden. The teenager suspected of stealing happened to be sitting on the front porch of the home and was immediately approached by the Deputies.
The teen was ordered to show the Deputies where in the home his room was located. After leading them to the room, the suspect made a run for the back door.
The suspect lead deputies on a foot-chase for about a block, before he was apprehended hiding under a nearby vehicle.
A search of the teen's room revealed that stolen property was the least of the Deputies' worries. Materials packaged and ready to make explosives were located in the juvenile's room.
Several other agencies including State Police Hazmat and ATF joined in the search, and revealed the suspect was also in possession of a handgun, drugs, and parts to assemble firearms.
The juvenile and his mother were both taken in for questioning before the teen was transported Ware Youth Center until he stands trial.
According to reports, this is not this suspect's first run-in with the law in Minden.
