What Texas Building Made Top 10 Ugliest Buildings List?
I have often opined on my perception that buildings today, or even in the last 50 years, don't have any character anymore. Today's buildings seem to be designed strictly for utilitarian purposes, as opposed to providing any architectural beauty or creative atmosphere.

If you pay attention while driving through downtown Shreveport you can find examples of beautiful architectural detail, like these concrete moldings on the old Feibleman's building, then Sears, now Lofts at 624 Texas Street.
Or this example of Art Deco/moderne architecture on the top of the Medical Arts Building, now known as Travis Place at 624 Travis Street.
I guess when they built things "back in the day," they didn't worry about budget as much as they do today. But a recent article on the website BuildWorld took a look at some of the ugliest building across the world. Some of which include the Scottish Parliament building, seen below, and the North Korean Doom Hotel.
They also ranked their version of the "Top 10 Eyesore Buildings in the US," which included the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C., and the Denver International Airport. But one Texas building made the list.. The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
The Alamodome was opened in 1993, and is the former home of the San Antonio Spurs. (1993-2002) The facility seats from 64,000 up to 72,000 people, depending on the event. During college football, it is also the current home of the Alamo Bowl.
