Shreveport writer, artist and filmmaker William Joyce talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his latest book, plans for upcoming movies and why he continues to call Shreveport home.

Joyce, who's latest book, "Jack Frost: The End is the Beginning," is the last and most ambitious volume of the Guardians of Childhood series focusing on the evolution of Jack into the heroic protector of the spirit of childhood. Joyce will appearing at Shreveport's Barnes & Noble bookstore Saturday, December 8 beginning at 2pm.

Joyce, who won an Academy Award in 2012 for his animated short, "The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore," also talks about the current state - and future - of his Moonbot Studios, his favorite characters and his memories of being on stage the night he accepted the Oscar.
