When country music icon Garth Brooks comes to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, everybody shows up!

And the sell out crowd of an unofficial count of 127,000 certainly wasn't disappointed in Garth's first trip back to Baton Rouge in decades.

In fact, WAFB reported that Death Valley indeed was the epicenter of a small earthquake caused by the ecstatic crowd there Saturday.

In the article from WAFB, we learn that approximately 9:30 pm Saturday night, when Garth performed the Louisiana favorite, "Callin’ Baton Rouge", a seismograph located in the Nicholson Building on LSU’s campus reportedly recorded a small earthquake.

Of course, this isn't a first for Death Valley. These small seismic events have occurred several times in the past at key times of large football games, but to the best of my recollection, this might be the first time, an event was ever recorded during a musical event at the venue.

YouTube contributor TB, caught the moment on camera and you can certainly feel the excitement.

Before you know it, Shreveport's historic Fairgrounds Field will be will be exactly that - history. Once the legal wrangling is done, the proverbial endangered-bat-guano will hit the fan and the once glorious Ratchet-City cathedral to baseball will be demolished and gone.

Before it "bats" its final inning, let's take a final look at the glory that once was. I warn you though, it's kind of like seeing that super-hot girl from high school 20 years later - and time has not been kind.
