Charm City Devils at the Warehouse on May 25th
The Charm City Devils have one of the most requested songs on 99X at the moment and will playing a 99X Low Dough show at the Warehouse on May 25th, but, oddly enough, most people don't know who the hell they are. A lot of people that call and request CCD thinking they are either a completely different band or want to know who they are. So, to help, here is a crash course in all you need to know about the Charm City Devils.
The band was first signed to Eleven Seven Music in 2009. After signing with Eleven Seven Music, Mötley Crüe bassist and Eleven Seven Music chairman, Nikki Sixx, suggested the band's current name Charm City Devils.
Their debut album Let's Rock-N-Roll was released in 2009. The band released two singles from their debut album: "Let's Rock n' Roll (Endless Road)" and "Best of the Worst". They were named BEST NEW ROCK BAND by iTunes for 2009 and were named by "Best Up and Coming Rock Band" by several trusted rock sources. Plus they've been on the road with some pretty big names. CCD toured on Crue Fest 2 with Theory of Deadman and Godsmack along and have opened up for several other big names.
They just released their second album "SINS" in the past month which features their cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow."
In short, in a few short years, they've impressed Nikki Sixx, every rock journalist worldwide, and they will blow you away when you check them out at the Warehouse on May 25th.
Now, it may seem like I'm a bit biased since I know the guys, but that is far from the truth. These guys truly are awesome and put on one HELL of a show. Trust me you will not be disappointed. The Charm City Devils is what rock need right now: a straight forward, raw band that wants to do nothing more than put a boot in your ass and have a damn good time while doing it: much like Aerosmith, AC/DC and Motley Crue used to. I'm not saying this is the band to save rock and roll, but they very well could be.
Here are a few of my favorite tracks from the Devils. Enjoy and hopefully we'll see you at the show.
