The Center for Disease Control is recalling packages of ground turkey because several folks have gotten sick.

The products were sold in several states. The turkey has been linked to cases of salmonella. Symptoms can include diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps, according to the CDC. Most people recover without treatment within a week.

Here's the list of products from the CDC.

  • Nature’s Promise (94% lean 6% fat) – 1 lb packages with dates 1/1, 1/3, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/10
  • Wegman (94% lean 6% fat) – 1 lb and 3 lb packages with dates 1/3, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/10
  • Plainville Farms (93% lean 7% fat) – 1 lb packages with dates 1/10

Investigators are working to determine if additional turkey products are linked to these illnesses.

The numbers released by the CDC show 28 people have gotten sick. 2 people have been hospitalized.
