Preparing for the release of his upcoming 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' soundtrack, Nine Inch Nails frontman & Oscar winner Trent Reznor recently took some time to do an interview with BBC's Radio One.  After the standard pimping of the new album, the interview turned to other projects Reznor has in the pipeline:   How To Destroy Angels,  his band with wife Mariqueen Maandig and Atticus Ross, and a new Nine Inch Nails album.

Trent confirmed that HTDA are currently mixing their first full-length record (verifying an earlier report from  The NIN Hotline ), and it will, as expected, come out in 2012.   That being said, they are also considering the possibility of playing concerts, and trying to figure out ”what makes the most sense” in that context.

And when asked about Nine Inch Nails, he replied that he’ll begin work on new material for the band soon, saying that it will be his specific writing focus throughout 2012.  I'm assuming that means it will be 2013 before anything actually emerges...
