‘The Walking Dead’ Season 3 Premieres With Massive Body Count
The long-awaited season three start of AMC's hit zombie apocalypse drama "The Walking Dead" didn't skimp on the gore. Sure, there was some campfire singing, Lori's baby mama drama and Hershel planning a vegetable garden, but the majority of Rick and company's time was spent slaying walkers -- just how we like it.
Here's our season three kill count so far, complete with episode spoilers. Did we miss any?
The Walking Dead "Seed" Body Count
Yes, that's right -- one leg.
Things are looking bad for ol' Hershel, who, in the closing moments of the episode, had a bite taken out of his calf by a walker playing dead. Rick performed a little emergency surgery on the fan-favorite veterinarian with his trusty hatchet in the hopes of stemming premature zombification, but we're not holding our breath.
A video preview clearly shows a crucifix planted just outside the prison's walls, so it seems certain someone in the group will meet their end soon.
Next week's episode, "Sick," airs on Sunday, October 21 at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CDT. Here's a sneak peak.
