Yep, we're bringing back all of the '80s hits you love this Labor Day weekend on KVKI! KVKI's Feel Good '80s weekend begins Friday, September 3rd at 3 pm with Lucky Larry and we'll keep the totally awesome tunes rolling through Labor Day Monday, September 6th until Delilah comes on at 7 pm!

Are you ready to revisit the decade that brought us the Trapper Keeper, the Rubic's Cube, and Members Only jackets? We are! In fact, we may break out the AquaNet and rock some big hair to celebrate!

It's hard to believe, but the '80s were when home computers were invented and a movie star *gasp* aka Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the 40th President of the United States. Music and fashion were all the rage and we watched shows like Growing Pains, Roseanne, Cheers, and Facts of Life. We also fell in love with Mollie Ringwald, the Coreys (Haim and Feldman), and the '80s version of the 'Rat Pack,' including Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Andrew McCarthy, and Ally Sheedy. Don't forget about the time we spent loitering at Pierre Bossier Mall, South Park Mall, and Mall St. Vincent.

In the '80s we played the Atari 2600, had a collection of scratch and sniff stickers, and sported a Swatch watch. We also wore leg warmers, multiple layers of socks, and tight-rolled our jeans. What were we thinking?!?!? Especially when you think of those linebacker-like shoulder pads?!?!?!  We also idolized artists like Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Duran Duran! (Yum!)

Don't forget, where ever your travels take you this holiday weekend, take 96.5 KVKI with you using the free KVKI Mobile App.
