Another $100,000 Powerball Winner Made in Louisiana
You'd think we'd get tired of writing stories about people experiencing life-changing monetary moments caused by good luck in a lottery drawing. Nah, we'll never get tired of that unless and until we get to write the story of our own lottery luck and then the likes of me will never be heard from again.
As you've probably gathered Lady Luck stopped by Louisiana again last night just in time for the Wednesday drawing in the Powerball multi-state lottery game. And just like she's done many times before Ms. Luck smiled on a Louisiana purchased ticket to the tune of $100,000.
The ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers. It also matched the Powerball. The player opted for the Power Play option so the prize money of $50,000 was automatically doubled to a cool 100 Grand.
The Louisiana Lottery website is reporting that the big money winner was sold in Monroe at the Now Save #7 on Forsyth Avenue.
If you're holding that winning ticket you'll want to sign the back of it immediately. Then you'll want to contact the Louisiana Lottery to make arrangments to get your money. By the way, there was no big jackpot winner in last night's Powerball drawing. That jackpot will now increase to an estimated $51 million for Saturday night's drawing.
