Bossier Deputy Named Louisiana’s Deputy of the Year
Every year, the Louisiana Sheriff's Association recognizes one deputy that has gone above and beyond in the line of duty. Bossier Parish Sheriff's Deputy James Lonadier is this year's Louisiana Deputy of the Year!
James is the school resource officer at Benton High School, but that is just the latest position for this guy - he has made a career out of helping others. Deputy Lonadier has held his current position for 2 years, but before that he was the deputy chief of the Bossier City Fire Department. After he retired, it seemed he wasn't done serving his community. On top of serving at his post as SRO at Benton High, Bossier Press reports that he also serves as Boat Captain for the Fishing Team, volunteers for batting practice for the softball team, and shows up at all kinds of after school activities.
