Bossier’s CenturyLink Center Will Need A New Name
Bossier City's CenturyLink Center will be looking for a new name.
It was announced by Bossier City Mayor Lo Walker today that CenturyLink has notified the city, and the building's management company SMG, that they will not be renewing their naming rights. The current deal expires in October of 2020.
The area itself is undergoing renovations and upgrades, which carry a price tag of about $10 million. It regularly hosts massive concert tours, rodeos, WWE, and will even play host to a Women's Volleyball Olympic Qualifier later this year.
The next move for Mayor Walker and Bossier City is to open the process with a public request for proposals. Corporations near and far will be able to bid on the naming rights, however there's no current timetable for a replacement to be named.
Anyone who is interested in pursuing the naming rights is asked to contact the arena's General Manager, Rebecca Bonnevier.
