I've been car shopping enough to know exactly why used-vehicle giant Carvana's way of buying and selling is so attractive.  You've got a humongous selection to choose from (30,000+) and a pretty efficient way to sort through them all in order to find the one you love.  Of course the down side is this: You are making a major investment almost sight unseen.  OK, so the pictures and the descriptions show you what the car looks like - but as we all know, the value can vary wildly depending on a few factors you just can't judge from the comfort of your phone or computer.

To be fair, Carvana has several ways to account for things you find you don't like about your new set of wheels - but that comes after you buy it in the form of a 7 day, momey-back guarantee.  To me, that sounds like a headache - what if it starts ticking and leaking on day 8?

That being said, the company is wildly popular with folks that don't have the time or patience to deal with a protracted search for a vehicle they need now.  So popular, in fact, that they are expanding their foot print in the Bayou State to serve more tech-savvy, car-needing Louisiana residents.

According to a report from the Daily Times, Carvana is offering next-day touchless home delivery to Houma, Louisiana area residents.  This will add Houma to the list of Carvana communities across the state.  Alexandria, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette are already on the list.

Unfortunately, there are no office-building sized car vending machines in our state yet.  The closest one is in Frisco (about 180 miles away), but with the way this company is marching into Louisiana - it's just a matter of time before that becomes a reality.
