No in person classes for Caddo Parish students all this week. Schools are closed Monday Feb. 22. Classes will shift to all virtual instruction on Tuesday for the remainder of the week.
The reason for this change is because basic necessities such as running water, adequate meals and heat has not been restored fully at many campuses. The boil advisory remains in effect for all of Shreveport and there is no way to boil the water used for drinking at local schools. This also causes problems in the kitchens for properly sanitized all of the cooking utensils.
The goal is to get all schools back up and going with in-person instruction on Monday, March 1.
