A shooting took place Thursday (7/8/21) morning on West 68th Street in Shreveport near Union Avenue. Shreveport Police were dispatched to the scene of the shooting at 9:12 a.m.
When Police arrived on the scene they found that an 18 year-old had been shot in the leg. He was quickly transported to a local hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery. At the time of the incident Shreveport Police had 5 units working the scene.
After some investigation Shreveport Police believe the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
This is an active scene and no other details are available at this time. Police believe this is a self-inflicted shooting. We will update when more information becomes available.
