Chris Jericho Becomes First Ever ‘Double Grand Slam Champion’
Tonight at WWE Payback, Chris Jericho did the unlikely and recaptured the United States Championship. Most people expected Jericho to lose since he's about to head out on tour with Fozzy. But, some how, he managed to beat his former best friend Kevin Owens. It was a GREAT match that's worth going back and watching again.
But, the big news out of Payback isn't that Y2J won the US title for a second time. It's that he is the first EVER Double Grand Slam Champion. For those unaware, there have only been 16 Grand Slam Champions (Fun Fact: none of them are named John Cena). A GSC is a wrestler that has won 4 major championship titles during their career.
Jericho became the first man to ever do it twice. Congrats to our good brother, the Ayatollah of Rock & Rolla, Y2J Chris Jericho!
