Christmas in Haughton Is This Saturday, December 14
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...Christmas in Haughton! And this Saturday, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about as that Jolly Old Elf rolls into town to start the last leg of the Christmas season right here in Northwest Louisiana!
The festivities will begin with the annual Christmas Parade starting at 10:00 am. This year the parade will begin at First Baptist Haughton then makes it way out to Highway 157 where it will make a block and then return to First Baptist Haughton. (It's a little different this year as it won't begin and end at Haughton High School since the high school is holding the ACT testing there and the parking lots will be full)
Then, from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm the festival will take place at Joe Delaney Park with lots of vendors, food trucks and there's a kids' zone. Santa will also be there and available for FREE pictures. Please note that you will NOT be able to park at Joe Delaney Park. Only handicap parking is available at the park. If you're planning to go, you'll have to park at either Haughton High School or Haughton Middle School, but you can use the FREE shuttle to ride to the festival.
And, if you've found you've got a little extra this year, festival organizers are asking you to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Haughton First Responders to hand out to less fortunate kids for Christmas.
