Did you know that you can use a 9V battery to charge your cell phone? If you already knew this, you're one step ahead of me.

All that you need is a spring, battery, and cell phone charger to make this happen. Not only is this good to know if you don't have electricity, but its also great to know in the event of a storm or hurricane.

I'd encourage you to have all of these essentials in your hurricane preparation kit and I'd further encourage you to share this story with others on social media. 

You can always stay connected via your cell phone during difficult times, but it needs to be charged up.
