ESPN Draft Expert Projects Bossier’s Terrace Marshall In 1st Round

Over the last couple of years the Ark-La-Tex has had a great run of producing high-level NFL talent. Just look at the last two Super Bowls and you will see multiple players from the region winning rings.

Ark-La-Tex players in the NFL currently include Patrick Mahomes (Whitehouse, TX), Devin White (Springhill), Tre'Davious White (Shreveport), Dak Prescott (Haughton), L'Jarius Sneed (Minden), Greedy Williams (Shreveport), Donavan Wilson (Shreveport), Jerry Tillery (Shreveport), and Brandon Wilson (Shreveport). There are a few others who are working around the league, and may get a chance to shine soon too.

But there's another local player about to make a splash into the NFL. Former Parkway High School (Bossier City) and LSU star Terrace Marshall, Jr wrapped up his college career early to get ready for the NFL, and its about to payoff.

Marshall has been considered one of the best wide receiver prospects in the draft class for this year. But without teams having their roster moves in place, it can be hard to project the middle-to-late first round of the draft. Until you know what trades have been completed, or what players have been cut (more on this later), you don't know what teams needs might include.

But now that teams have been making moves to position themselves for next year, it's easier for people like ESPN's Mel Kiper, Jr to project what teams want. Which he did earlier today by releasing his latest mock draft...which included a possible landing spot for Marshall...

The Baltimore Ravens could absolutely be in the market for a new weapon for quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Ravens are a team who would already consider themselves a playoff team, and Super Bowl contender. Marshall could be one piece that they think could push them over the top.

But the Ravens are set to pick at 27th in the first round, and Marshall hasn't really started working out for teams. With his measurables, the Ravens might have to move up if they want him that bad. There are multiple teams in the teens who want/need wide receiver help.

At this point, it seems more like that 27th pick might be Marshall's floor, not his ceiling.
