On March 30th, 2023, around 4:20 p.m. members of the Shreveport Police Street Level Interdiction Unit and the Community Response Unit were working together to target violent offenders in our city.

Officers conducted a follow up investigation at 1900 Patzman Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a subject was in possession of narcotics and a firearm. Officers seized the handgun and narcotics.

Clyde Spates (5-11-89) was arrested for one count of possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, one count of possession of a schedule two, and one count of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony.

The law requires that we remind that all persons are innocent until proven guilty.
