What Are the Test Results Showing in Louisiana
Nearly 13% of all flu tests given in Louisiana are positive for the flu while the national average is 4.4% positive.
The CDC reports flu cases are increasing the most in the southeastern part of the country along with south-central states.
The agency is highly recommending you get a flu vaccine before the end of October as a way to protect against the flu.
Vaccination can help prevent the flu and can also help protect you from getting seriously ill if you do still get sick.
If you do get the flu, be sure to ask your doctor for prescription flu antiviral drugs that should be started as soon as possible.
