Former Credit Union Employee Wanted for Theft Now in Custody
A former credit union employee wanted for theft after allegedly manipulating her own credit limit has turned herself in to authorities.
Kellee A. Churchwell was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility early Wednesday afternoon after turning herself into the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office.
Churchwell is accused of logging onto her personal credit card account at Charter Federal Credit Union, where she was employed, and increasing her credit limit on three different occasions from August 2016 to January 2017, all without approval. After she increased her credit limit from $500 to $3,400, she allegedly misappropriated funds of nearly $2,900 from the credit card account, money to which she was never entitled.
Her bond was set at $12,500.
