Courtesy of Goatwhore vocalist Ben Falgoust, here's your feel-good story of the day. We recently spoke with Falgoust about all things Goatwhore, and while we were chatting about the upcoming GWAR-B-Q, the ferocious death metal vocalist shared a touching tale of a time when late GWAR frontman Dave Brockie tucked him in at night during a period of hard touring.

Goatwhore produce some of the most ferocious and blasphemous blackened death metal on the planet, and GWAR is just simply the most insane metal act ever to exist. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a great deal of heart under the black shirts and alien costumes.

"I remember one night we were playing in Memphis, Tenn. The next morning we had off, so that night we hung out outside the venue," begins Falgoust. "We were hanging out on GWAR's bus with them and everything, we're all hanging out. We're in there, it was getting late, and I used to drive a lot on tour. Like, drive, and then play the show, and do some merch, and drive, and things like that, so I was just tired. I was sitting there, and I was kind of dozing off and everything. And Dave Brockie came out with a pillow and a blanket, and he put the pillow on my head and he put the covers on me. He tucked me in."

On the unique mind of Brockie, Falgoust adds, "He was already planning and talking about all the ideas GWAR was going to do for the next tour. The different stage thing they would do, the different things, he had all these ideas. Here's what we're going to do next time, we're going to do this, and this, and this. And I was just like, man, this guy's brain is just constantly going, he's just got ideas going out of control. Like a mad genius, he had all these f---ing crazy ideas."

We wonder if Oderus Urungus read Ben Falgoust a bedtime story after being tucked in…
