Shreveport Police Chief Ben Raymond talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the Stay-at-Home order given Sunday by Governor John Bel Edwards and how - and to what degree - the SPD will enforce the measure.

Raymond tells KEEL listeners that the SPD will, as much as possible, have members of the department work from home. "The Governor said in his statement that only essential personnel statewide should be reporting to work and that applies to the police department as well," the Chief says, adding that it is mostly civilian employees of the department who fall into that category.

Raymond also explains how the SPD will try to enforce the Governor's "public gathering of not more than ten" mandate, saying that it doesn't mean criminal action but crowds of larger than ten would be instructed to move along.
