It hasn't been a wild hurricane season so far in 2019, but we're not out of the woods yet.

This season, we've only encountered one named hurricane, Barry, making landfall in our state. While that storm was just a hurricane 1, quickly morphing into a tropical storm, it did cause quite the stir in our state as we prepared for its impact.

The NOAA has upped its 2019 hurricane forecast for the year from five to nine with two to four major storms.

The NOAA also claims that "all the ingredients" are currently in place to see a handful of hurricanes form and make their way to our coast.

Here's to hoping they're wrong, but just in case, be on the lookout!
