In Louisiana, there's no doubt, we LOVE food! Maybe that's why people from all over the world come to visit us. But with everything there is to choose from down here to eat... Classics like gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, beignets, crawfish and more, we never thought this item would top the list!

What is Louisiana's favorite Christmas treat?

After listing all those amazing dishes and making myself hungry, it's time to reveal what food item is tops for Louisiana at Christmas. According to Zippia, that item is PUDDING. I'm sure it's at least bread pudding with lots of bourbon! At least, I hope so.

BTW, I did a search for Christmas pudding and there is a dish called that which originated in England. Its main ingredients are sugar, treacle, suet, and spices. It's also known as plum pudding. I think I'll pass and go for the pumpkin spice.

Out of all of the options available, like fudge, cheesecake, and peppermint bark, it's pudding! I'm still shaking my head in disbelief. So how did they come up with their data? Google Trends. It makes sense that we would actually like what we're searching for, at least that's what Zippia concluded and they looked at over 40 classic Christmas treats. But still... pudding? At least we're not North or South Carolina because their favorite Christmas treat is apparently fruitcake. Yuck!
