Think about it for a second. In fact, ask a friend. What's the best band of all time from Louisiana? Not an individual artist...but a band.

The Pelican State is burgeoning with musical talent, artists whose brilliance spans the generations. But, oddly, the vast, vast majority of those are single  acts. like Louis Armstrong, Dr. John and Fats Domino.

But when it comes to bands, well, Louisiana seems to be just a little bit lacking.

Nonetheless, we've done out best. And with just a little research we've come up with the top seven. Our metrics included things like record sales, concert popularity and in some cases, bands that were just damn good and just never got the big break.
