United States Senator from Louisiana John Kennedy talks about Critical Race Theory, explaining his criticism and condemnation of the growing legal and scholastic idea.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Kennedy said C.R.T. is "woke curriculum" and stated that it was being promoted and pushed by the Biden administration. "Critical race theory is a fairytale promoted by many - not all, but many of my Democratic colleagues including the Biden White House. Critical race theory teaches that America is totally screwed. We need to just tear it down and start over," Kennedy said.

Friday morning on KEEL the state's junior Senator went even further with his denunciation. "To me, it boils down to this," Kennedy says, "Should (American schools) teach that the defining characteristic of America is racism and that the country was founded to preserve white supremacy...and that white children are born bad and Black children are born hopeless? No. That's not history. That's a conclusion.

Here's what the Senator told KEEL:

"It's a political ideology that's being advanced by people who don't understand that America's not perfect, but we're good. They want to tear America down and start over and I don't think we should do that."

In that Fox interview, the homespun Kennedy described Critical Race Theory as "dumb as a bag of hair." But he went further with KEEL, calling it, without hesitation, Marxist.

"There's no question about that," he says, "In 150 years in American history...we've gone from institutionalized slavery to a Black President who was elected and reelected. We have 10,000 public officials who are African-American. We've passed civil rights laws. We beat back the evil of slavery and we've made enormous progress.

"It's clear that many of my Democrat colleagues want to ram this down the throats of the American people, implement it in every school - they've already done it in colleges - and the American people are pushing back.

"It's a very fatalistic point of view. Critical race theory is cynical, ahistorical, sophomoric, insipid, and dumb as a bag of hair."
